About Us
Bureau of Science and Technology Information has been developed from Scientific and Technological Division by restructuring administration within Department of Science Service since October 2002 in accordance with the Government System Reform Act B.E. 2545(2002)
More than the past 55 years, Department of Science Service by Bureau of Science and Technology Information performs a national important role as one of the well-established resource of scientific and technological information, particularly strong in Chemistry with a wide variety ranges in academic and re innovation.

Many more library materials in printed, and digital information that can be accessible through internet are provided by well-trained and experienced team of librarians and subject staff. Serving as the representative of Science and Technology Information Network Center (STINC), we make every effort to achieve efficient information resource sharing to community as well as to enhance national competitiveness for industrial development.
At present, the library consists more than 500,000 items of publications and electronic documents. 90% are in English covering wide range of chemistry as well as applied chemistry focusing on industrial uses.

       Not only academic journals, text books, meeting/conference reports but also patent /standards documents, cataloging and informative of producers collections are available.
       Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC) ,Anglo American Cataloging Rules and MARC are used for cataloging and classification systems. Virgina Tech Library Systems(VTLS) has been utilized in developing library automation system as well.

     Bureau of Science and Technology Information located on the right wing of the six-storeys building : "Methology and Science & Technology Information Center Building" where we provides our services on the working area of 4,012 square meters
Library opening hour : Monday-Friday 08.30-16.30 Hrs. and Saturday 09.00-17.00 Hrs.
(Library close on Sunday and annual holidays)

ISO Standard

Bureau of Science and Technology Information Started to run its Performances under the international quality management systems (ISO Standard) since 1999 and was first certified ISO 9002:1994 on March 9,2001 by the Management System Certification Institute (MASCI) Thailand, and then has been certified ISO 9001:2000 at the present. To continually improve our performance, suggestions and comments from every channels are appreciated and will be paid for high attention to satisfy users demands.
