บทคัดย่อ (อังกฤษ) : Expts. were performed to utilize the glazed ware breakage of a local ceramic plant in the construction of decorative outside wall panels or residential buildings. The complete embedding of curved ceramic pieces in portland cement 300 and quartz sand at water / cement ratio 0.5 gave a shear strength 21.3 MPa for the ceramics, which after 15 decreased by 18%. The shear strength of ceramic pieces not embedded in the panels was 5.1-6.4 Mpa. The exptl. decorative panels were used in a 5-story residential building.

บทคัดย่อ (ไทย) : บทความนี้นำเสนอการทดลองใช้แก้วที่เป็นชิ้นแตกจากโรงงานเซรามิก นำมาใช้ในการก่อสร้างโดยนำมาตกแต่งผนังด้านนอก หรืออาคารที่พักอาศัย ชิ้นเซรามิกสามารถฝังตรึง (embedding) ได้สมบูรณ์ในพอร์ตแลนด์ซีเมนต์ 300 และทรายควอทซ์ที่อัตราส่วนของน้ำต่อซีเมนต์เท่ากับ 0.5 ซึ่งทำให้เกิดความแข็งแรงเฉือน(shear strength) 21.3 MPa สำหรับเซรามิก หลังจากลดวงจรจุดเยือกแข็ง 18% ความแข็งแรงเฉือนของชิ้นเซรามิกที่ไม่ได้ฝังตรึงในผนังมีค่า 5.1-6.4 Mpa ทั้งนี้การทดลองตกแต่งใช้อาคารที่พักอาศัย 5 แห่ง
